Day 113 KK to Kudat

After failing to get the Indonesian visa in Kuching we had to get it in today. When we arrived I was refused entry because I was wearing shorts but luckily Rachel was able to fill out the forms, so we left them for collection when we get back from Kudat.
At the shared taxi area we got in to a 7 seater did a lap of the block & got kicked out. They promised another taxi to get us out of the car and said sorry our seats had been booked earlier. The other taxi wasn't going for hours so we tried another company which took an hour to fill their taxi before leaving.
The trip was 3 hours & we were collected by Howard the owner of Tampat Do Aman our eco lodge, a friendly English guy known by all the villagers.
A half hour down the road at the lodge Howard showed us round the traditional longhouse, showers with star & jungle views and the compost toilets then took us a further couple of K's down the road to the beach & his restaurant where the other 4 guests were.
The sand was white and the water clear a great spot just along the beach from the tip of Borneo. Howard provides jungle treks, jungle survival training & night walks so we booked a night walk for tomorrow evening.
