Day 112 Kinabalu National Park

Shared taxis are not the way forward, our first experience of these today we waited an hour to fill the van before it would leave but with the rain like it was we were the only tourists heading to the park. A 2 hour trip to Kinabalu National park where we met Max & Silvia who had stayed the night in the park & got a clear day for hiking yesterday, so they were happy with the short guided walk & the small trail we did to a view point of cloud, we never saw the mountain!
Both Rachel & Silvia got leeches but they were taken care of swiftly. Had this been our first park we would have persevered with the weather but with little chance of seeing wildlife or the mountain a few hours was enough & we got a bus back to KK together.
We had dinner again in the same seafood restaurant on the water front as last time with Max & Silvia but they didn't cater for Rachel well so she stopped in at BK too. We then had a photo swapping session while eating deep fried banana pieces for desert & said our goodbyes since they leave for KL in the morning.
