We had another lazy start today this time it was to recover from the trip south & enjoy a sleep-in in our own room which is a nice break from the dorm rooms.
After quizzing the staff here on our best travel options ahead, we wondered the city. It has a large lake with very well kept gardens & paths that any city would be proud of from the half that we saw today.
We had tea/coffee in the real Starbucks today. It's official the milk here is crap. Rachel has been having black tea since day 1 but I've been persisting with milk in my coffee, no longer it's really not great tasting.
The area we are staying has a busy shopping street where we finally purchased our 1st souvenir some chopsticks (see pic). Rachel is on the hunt for a tea set after seeing a few nice ones and they have big tea shops here with all kinds of tea imaginable, one customer was sampling his selection just as you would a fine wine!
For dinner tonight we looked up the lonely planet recommendation and went for that. On the way I said "funny if it's where we ate last night" and as we looked up the street name then the street number it wasn't till we were outside it that it was certain, it was the place........next door.
The duck and the dumplings were nice (see pics)
