Day 30 Yangshou

At 6am we got woken by the bus driver saying "Yangshou, Yangshou"
Walking the streets at 6am the usual life of the town was busy, street cleaners and a farmers market we hope to get back to. We had no hostel booked but knew where we wanted to stay and after waking the night lady and bargaining the cost for a private room it was time for a bit more sleep.
We spent the afternoon checking out our new home for the next 3or4 nights a very beautiful place with limestone peaks everywhere quite different from the landscape of yesterday.
The town is very well decorated for spring festival(Chinese new year) with red lanterns hanging in the streets.
The market street of this town had two main items for sale, the painted fans and loads of silk. We also loved some of the wooden sculptures and massive solid wood tables in a couple of shops but at €22k we left them in the shop.
A man had an eagle which could be held for 10yuan so Rachel loved that, she thought it was very heavy and could feel the claws through the glove digging in her.
Our hostel has a roof top bar with a fantastic view so we had a photo session up there.
