Day 169 Bunaken Island

After breakfast its on to the dive boat for a short trip round the island a little. We had a dive instructor each since Rachel needed to learn the basics of diving and I needed the refresher course. We anchored in 2mtrs of water where we could get comfortable. Rachel did well and her guide was very helpful. My guy well he was nice, there was no refresher course for me we got in, changed my gear since I had a leak and went for the drop off.
We were separated for both dives because I could go a little deeper but we both saw the same things except Rachel also saw giant Travelly. We both saw Lion fish, big puffer fish the length of my forearm(I got close enough to measure), some strange colourful critters called nudibranches a bit like a snail without a shell and cuter. I also saw a couple of huge Lobsters looking out at me from in the rock, but the highlight has to go to the Giant Turtles with their shell nearly 2mts across they really are super cool to watch. I was lucky enough to get right beside one as big as me resting on a ledge 13mtrs down he didn't seem to mind my presence but kept a big eye on me.
