Day 149 Bajawa to Riung

A lazy start today, then a mad rush to eat and get money before the bus collected us. The restaurant helped by dropping me by motorbike at the atm while lunch was cooked. The public bus collected us at midday a typical local bus roughly a 30 seater most are brightly painted and sport loads of stickers this one had done its share of hard K's. The bus then drove around for an hour looking for and collecting passengers before leaving.
The actual trip took about 4.5hours to cover 70km an average speed of 15Kph! The road was very windy and  some of it was sealed but all of it was rutted.
After checking in to a hotel we headed for the waterfront to check out boat options for the attraction here - the 17 islands with lovely coral to snorkel. On the way a car pulled over beside us and out jumped 4 tourists who ran for us. They were also looking for a boat tomorrow so we got together and secured a boat for 600,000IDR between us and went for a beer with our new Austrian, German & Dutch friends at one of the only two restaurants in the village.
